BEE KEEPING

BEEKEEPING

The habit of ‘Beekeeping” is in fact pleasurable experience to every one and it is also one of the most interesting and worthwhile activities.  There are so many benefits can be attained by every beekeeper and one of them is collection of mouth watering honey and the benefit of pollination of any nearby gardens.   Every one will know and understand about the real importance of how to be busy as a bee. Usually, as a matter of fact, bees are familiar for hard working and diligence.  They are taking painful effort to collect nectar.  They are sincerely striving to collect honey in their just 35 days of life.

During these days, they are wearing out their wings and their importance to the colony and die. Daily bread is one of the main reasons for collecting honey by bees.  When flowers are not blooming due to seasonal reasons, they just eat their stored honey only. Perhaps if it is a good season for flowers to blossom, flowers will have a lot of nectar and bees are so capable to collect a lot of nectar. So in a suitable season, they will try to collect nectar from flowers and they will store them to eat in an unseasoned period.  Commonly, every beekeeper can save a good amount of honey and they will sell them for earning revenue.

Since bees are producing honey, every beekeeper will easily collect and sell honey for profit in a remarkable way.  Usually every beekeeper has been selling their honey in two different ways.  First one is beekeepers will collect liquid honey which will be included with combs from the hive. By making use of centrifuge equipment also known as extractor, they will remove pure honey from the honey combs. Now they will sell pure honey for profit. This is one of the easiest methods.  In second method, beekeeper will not remove combs from liquid honey and they will sell honey with pieces of the comb.  Comb is nothing but is the original wax like substance that the bees made.  But due to combs, comb honey is honey with natural flavor. Even though this type of comb honey is not adaptable to use in cooking or with mixing in tea, due to its natural flavor some people will like to use it.

Unknown information about honey is honey comes in a lot of different natural flavors and natural colors.  The reason is naturally flowers are familiar for their different colors and scents. So according to their color and fragrance, honey has different taste, color and flavor.  Another important reason for honey’s different taste, flavor and colors is soil chemistry.  Nature of soil also determines about honey and its flavor, taste and color.  Honey if it is made from the nectar of alfalfa which will grow in drier, alkali soil, such honey will vary from white to clear.  At the same time, if honey is made from the nectar of buckwheat, such honey will resemble so dark in color.  Usually buckwheat will grow more in acidic soil.

Also the quality of honey combs made by bees also will decide about honey’s color, taste and flavor.  Golden, red and green shades are some of common colors of honey.  As food products, for processing purpose, labeling and handling honey, beekeepers will have to follow some specific state and federal rules and regulations.  This is also common in dealing with all other types of honey related products. Even though it is a real business, according to the beekeeping areas and local government’s policies, the rules and regulations on this process will vary from one to another. Also it is always better and advisable for beekeepers to consider day to day marketing strategies to sell their honey and related products successfully.

Where they have to sell their honey and what types of consumers they have to target for their successful business are two common important considerations for beekeepers.  Even though beekeeping is a rewarding hobby, beekeepers, when they try to earn profit through their business, they have to sincerely do their business with timely brilliant decisions.   Then only they can be done their business to survive and thrive successfully and profitably.
