Concrete Form Walls

Concrete Form Walls

Now days, pouring concrete form walls are a fairly simple process if you follow a few simple rules. The only thing you have to do is you have to make sure everything you form is level and square and that the forms are strong enough to prevent blow out Making use of commercial concrete from rentals is more inexpensive than done by a contractor.   Concrete ready mix is one of the best availabilities and it is much easier for the typical homeowner to build the own concrete walls. If you are ready to follow some simple instructions, building concrete walls will become a simple process.

Before you decide to build, you have to confirm that every thing you form is level and square.   It has to be prepared well and strong enough to prevent blow out. Sizes of footing and thicknesses of wall are essential things which you have to decide. It is always better to use the best form of system you can rent.  It is better to understand how forms go together and how they are oiled etc. Especially, your concrete should be consolidated in the form by tapping with a heavy hammer, using a wetter mix or with the aid of a vibrating device called a concrete stinger you have to keen in using proper relevant tools such as pampering machines and concrete stringers if necessary. Also it is very important if you are pouring a foundation wall you may also need to set “J” type bolts in the concrete every four feet to hold down your treated floor plate.

When you pour your wall the concrete can be placed by truck shoot or you can rent a concrete pumping machine for difficult access areas.  Before starting this work, you can make a fine sketch as a design.  When you make concrete walls, you have to give more importance in building corner walls strongly.  If you make your corner walls so strong, the entire straight walls will stand straight. It is better to build corners up first and also you have to keep corners higher than the rest of the wall.  If you do so, this will help guide your work.

Pre cast concrete wall system is considered as one of the best systems and it has a wide range of shapes, colors and textures.  Also it has different kind of finishes to the designers.  This type of pre cast panel production is the best for quality control and field testing.  There are four common types of pre cast panels are such cladding or curtain walls, load bearing wall units, shear walls and form work for cast in place concrete.

Out of them cladding material is considered as the best selection among architects.  It is providing more details for weather proofing and it mainly focuses on specified performance criteria.   Moreover, cladding materials are responsible for the specific loads, erection loads, connection details and for the weather proofing, great performance, strength, ductility, volume change accommodations, durability, fire resistance and constructability.

Finally one more important thing is all your concrete walls have to be compulsory supported on a poured footing. This is a concrete beam that will pour on solid ground. This will be needed to you according to the determination of the size of footing. It is better to be your footings minimum eight to twelve inches deep and twelve to eighteen inches wide.  This has to be calculated according to the size of the wall and how many stories it needs to support. You can check with your local building code official to determine the appropriate size.
